General Rules and Restrictions

Can I change my onward flight to any day I want?

  • You can change your flights for $100 as long as:
    • You have already started your journey
    • The new flight is available in the same inventory
    • The new flight is mid-week or you have already paid the weekend surcharge
    • You are not changing your route
    • Your flight is within the validity of your ticket (six months or one year)
    • You did not “no show” for one of your flights

You can change your flights for an aditional fee in most other cases but it will require your ticket to be re-issued. You cannot change your flight after you have “no showed”. (No show simply means not canceling or showing up for your flight.) You cannot change to a date beyond one year from date of purchase.

To change your ticket you can contact our customer service department or in some cases you can go directly to the airline’s city ticket office.

What is the re-issue penalty? When would I have to reissue?

Airlines require your ticket to be reissued in certain cases. In these cases there will be a $100 charge in addition to any fare difference. For example, you want to change the date of your return flight from a Thursday to a Friday. Since Friday is considered a weekend, you would have to pay $50 for the weekend surcharge as well as $100 for the ticket to be reissued. AirTreks customer service will work with you to try to reduce these fees when possible.

Can I stop in all these cities on one trip?

Wouldn’t that be nice? Unfortunately you can’t stop in every one of the cities listed for this special fare. You are allowed to stop in three cities determined by your choice of one of the three base routings. For example, you can fly from Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Bangkok to Denpasar then back via Hong Kong to Los Angeles, but you could not fly Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Hanoi to Denpasar to Los Angeles. Your AirTreks Personal Travel Consultant can help you design a specific route that is not covered by this pass.
