Complete Description of Coverage

Effective on the day your trip starts, for up to 365 days of continuous travel, this is an insurance plan best suited for travelers who just want basic coverage during their trip. It does not provide pre-trip cancellation coverage so if you feel there is little risk of cancellation prior to departure then this may be your best choice.

$750 ($150/day) Trip Delay

$500 Missed Connection

$1,500 Baggage & Personal Effects Loss

$100 Baggage Delay

$25,000 Medical Expense

Continuing medical expense coverage after you return home for a trip related injury or illness

SOME LIMITATIONS

Trip Interruption provides reimbursement for the original cost of your tickets, or the additional cost of a one way ticket home, or a replacement ticket if an emergency interrupts your trip. The general rule for what constitutes an emergency is when unforeseen events cause your trip to be interrupted, events like bad weather, natural disaster, strikes, terrorism, financial default, and medical conditions. If the cause of trip interruption is not on listed in your Description of Coverage it will not be covered.

Political and civil unrest are not covered

Eyewear is not covered

Original item receipts for lost, stolen or damaged items valued at $150+ are recommended

Full Package Plan

Product # 008269-P1-0912

Complete Description of Coverage

This optional insurance plan is best suited for travelers who want a more comprehensive travel insurance plan. All benefits of the post departure plan are included plus additional benefits.

Trip Cancellation coverage is included for trips that are canceled, due to covered reasons, prior to the start of travel.  In addition, your medical expense and emergency evacuation coverage limits are double the limits found in the post departure plan. This means $50,000 for medical expense and $250,000 for emergency evacuation. In our experience $300,000 is the right amount of evacuation coverage for many travelers because it meets the requirements of many tour operators and it exceeds the likely cost of even the most ambitious evacuation.

If you feel there is a possibility of canceling before your trip, or you want higher medical expense and evacuation coverage limits, or you simply want more comprehensive insurance “just in case…,” then this is the best choice for you.
