This product is exclusively for AirTreks customers, and was designed by AirTreks specifically with our clients in mind. For an additional cost, you can upgrade your AirTreks insurance to increase your medical coverage, and get pre-departure coverage as well. Post Departure

Included with all tickets packages for residents of the US and Canada! This policy adds amazing value to your purchase without any additional cost. Valid once your trip starts, for up to one year of continuous travel, this is a base level insurance plan best suited for travelers who just want to have some coverage during their trip. It does not have trip cancellation coverage so if you feel there is little risk of cancellation then this is the choice for you. Benefits you will find reassuring include medical care, evacuation, and trip interruption which helps get you home in an emergency.

SOME LIMITATIONS
- Trip Interruption: Offsets the cost of a one way ticket home or a replacement ticket if an emergency interrupts your trip. The general rule for what constitutes an emergency is when unforeseen events cause your trip to be interrupted, events like bad weather, natural disaster, strikes, terrorism, financial default, and medical conditions. If the cause of what happens is not on this list it will not be covered.
- Political and civil unrest is not covered
- Original item receipts for lost, stolen or damaged items valued at $150+ are recommended
Post Departure – Full Description of Coverage
Full Cancellation

Complete coverage for ultimate peace of mind. This upgrade insurance product (again, for residents of the US and Canada) is best suited for travelers who want everything travel insurance offers. All benefits of the post departure policy are included plus two new benefits. For 8.3% of your trip cost you add full cancellation coverage (before and after your trip starts), and twice the amount of coverage for medical care and evacuation. This means $50,000 for medical care and $100,000 for evacuation. In our experience $100,000 is the right amount of evacuation coverage for most people because it meets the requirements of tour operators and it exceeds the likely cost of even the most ambitious evacuation. If you feel there is a risk of cancelling either before or during your trip, or you want the highest medical and evacuation levels, or you simply want full protection “just in case…” then this is the best choice for you.
COST: 8.3% of your airfare + tours
