You’ve planned the wedding and sent out the invitations. Now comes the fun part: planning the honeymoon. Sure, you could go to an all-inclusive resort in Belize, and take a few organized side trips from there- if that’s what you’ve always dreamed about.

But when it comes to honeymoons, there’s no hard and fast rule book. And even if there were, who says you have to follow the rules? Your honeymoon is supposed to be you and your future spouse’s dream trip.

That’s why some couples end-up taking multi-stop trips around Europe, South America or Asia, and still others decide to start their marriages with a long-term travel adventure and travel around the world for a few weeks, a few months, or even a year. The surprising part is that sometimes a multi-destination trip is cheaper than a package deal–RTW routes start at $2,000. Seeing the world with your other half may be cheaper and less complicated than you think.
