How Does a Microbattical Work?

You want to go around the world. Here's some details on how we help you.

We’ve done all the legwork that goes into making a trip amazing: researching destinations, booking the most expedient flights, looking for great hotels, and providing 24/7 support all along the way.

All you have to do is sign up with a deposit that puts you on the waiting list. You’ll get a call from a travel consultant & from there on, it’s easy.

AirTreks manages everything for you: flight bookings, hotel recommendations, train tickets, and full 24/7 support. We’re also here with important information about safety, immunizations, packing, visas, and anything else you might have questions about.
Plus, if you want to connect with other travelers, you can attend optional community meetups to learn more about other travelers experiencing your same route!

What Do I Need To Do?

  • Take off work. Having trouble swinging this at the office? We will call your boss and explain why a microbattical will increase your productivity.
  • Pay for the trip. We accept Paypal & most major credit cards.
  • Pack your bags. We’ve got packing and clothing recommendations tailored for your specific destinations.
  • Bring your own spending money for food and activities. (We provide info on estimated costs for each destination).
  • Have the most exciting 4 weeks of your life!

how much will accommodation cost?

We’ve partnered with ____ to find the best accommodations in each of our destinations. If you choose to go with these curated destinations, we’ve reserved a special discount for your stay. But if you want the freedom to explore and pick your own hotel, go for it! We’re here with any advice you need.

how much does food cost?

We’ve put together a comprehensive list of food prices for all of the destinations on our microbattical. The range is from $3/meal in Thailand to $15/meal in Iceland!

what about food quality?

Food quality varies from destination to destination, according to where you purchase it. Food is safe to eat in nicer restaurants everywhere (and most local places as well). You might want to exercise caution with street food if you think you might have a weaker stomach. Drink bottled water instead of tap water, and be careful about anything that hasn’t been cooked thoroughly.

what about languages?

In Thailand, the local language is Thai but you won’t have any problem communicating in English. They’re used to tourists. Same goes for Sri Lanka: even if you don’t speak the native Sinhala, they’ll understand your English. Dubai is an international city and almost everything will be written in English. Your Spanish will come in useful in Spain, but everyone will understand at least basic English. In Iceland, they will probably speak better English than you do.
